A peak of my work for the forthcoming Codename Babushka project. http://flatties.co.uk/?page_id=1049 Based around my own imposed theme of ‘Dot-Matrix’, each of the five Russian Dolls represents a take on this. From large, to small, and from positive beginnings, to dark conclusions: Dot-Matrix #01: ‘The Prompt’ - MS-DOS, the starting point of the digital world. Dot-Matrix #02: ‘The Smile’ - The ubiquitous digital icon meets his acid-house counterpart. Dot-Matrix #03: ‘The Death’ - The dreaded blue screen strikes! Dot-Matrix #04: ‘The Discarded’ - Obsolete technology, with no future, an old green screen lies, decaying, on the scrap-heap, consigned to history.
